European Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) released by the Markit Economics has just shown expansive figures across the continent. France and Germany were the biggest contributors with France’s posting of 51 the most bullish. The Euro has strengthened on the back of the news, rebounding to above €1.11 versus the dollar.

This comes following Boris Johnsons arrival in Berlin yesterday for Brexit talks with Angela Merkel. It is understood the Ms Merkel told Mr Johnson that Germany is ready for a no deal Brexit but hinted a new agreement is possible ahead of the October 31st deadline.
